Boeun-gun Rice Professional Farmers Association holds 3rd annual convention

The Boeun-gun Rice Professional Farmers Association held its 3rd annual Rice Professional Farmers Convention at the Grand Convention on August 28. The event brought together approximately 300 members, families, and invited guests to encourage farmers facing challenges such as climate change and rising agricultural material costs.

The program included an opening ceremony, awards for ten individuals contributing to the local rice industry, a rice donation ceremony of 300kg to the community, and educational sessions on high-quality rice cultivation techniques. Yu Seung-kwon, CEO of BioPlan, provided training on field application methods for advanced cultivation.

Association President Park Geum-yong emphasized the importance of solidarity among members to advance the quality of Boeun rice. Boeun County Governor Choi Jae-hyeong pledged active support for the industry, focusing on the stable cultivation of new rice varieties and increasing farm income through high-quality production.
