Bogdan Mureșanu to present unseen film material at BIFF 2026

Director Bogdan Mureșanu will present previously unseen material from his film ‘Anul Nou care n-a fost’ at the Bucharest International Film Festival (BIFF) 2026. The program, scheduled between September 20 and 26, includes special screenings and a photo exhibition titled ‘Ce n-a fost în Anul Nou care n-a fost’.

The exhibition, featuring photography by Matei Bumbuț, will be held at Sala Irina Nicolau and offers a look at the production atmosphere and moments captured during filming. The event also includes a special montage of deleted scenes and parallel narratives that were part of a much longer original cut, which previously ran over four hours.
