Bogliasco road accident leaves two dead and several injured

A violent road accident occurred on the Via Aurelia in Bogliasco, near a level crossing, resulting in two deaths. The collision involved a car, three cyclists, and another vehicle.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a 79-year-old driver may have suffered a medical emergency, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The car crossed into the opposite lane, striking three cyclists before hitting another car and crashing into a wall. The victims include the 79-year-old driver and a 52-year-old cyclist.

Several others were injured. A 47-year-old cyclist was taken to Galliera Hospital in critical condition, and the driver's 74-year-old wife was also hospitalized in critical condition with multiple fractures. Authorities have closed the Aurelia in both directions to conduct investigations and have seized the vehicles involved.
