Bogor‑Jakarta Commuter Train Service Disrupted by Signal Vandalism

On Thursday, 23 July 2026, the Bogor–Jakarta commuter rail line experienced service interruptions after suspected vandalism damaged signalling equipment between Bojong Gede and Citayam stations. KAI Commuter announced on its official X account that the incident forced trains to operate on a "out‑in" (alternating) schedule, causing delays for passengers.

The operator urged travellers to follow instructions from on‑site staff and to remain patient while repairs are carried out. The disruption was confined to the affected segment and did not halt the entire network.
