Bogoshorts brings animated short films to SOFA 2026

As part of the seventeenth edition of the Salón del Ocio y la Fantasía (SOFA), Bogoshorts will present a selection of animated short films at Corferias. The program, titled ‘Creepy Animado’, features works that experiment with digital and hand-drawn frames to create dark, unsettling narratives. Some of these films are the result of international collaborations involving six different countries.

In addition to the animation showcase, the event will feature two other short film programs: ‘Monstruosidades’, which explores extraordinary creatures, and ‘Futuros distópicos’, a science fiction collection focused on technology and near-future societies.

The programming will be available during the final three days of SOFA, from Saturday, October 10, to Monday, October 12. The event will also include a special screening dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the film ‘Back to the Future’, featuring shorts from Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, and Cuba that pay homage to Robert Zemeckis’ work.
