Bogotá and Mexico City announce 2026 school calendars and enrollment results

The Bogotá District Education Secretariat (SED) issued Resolution 2433, setting the mid‑year vacation for public pre‑school, primary and secondary schools from Monday 22 June to Monday 6 July 2026. The schedule allows families and schools to plan activities and aligns with national academic weeks.

Mexico’s Secretary of Public Education (SEP) released the results of the 2026‑27 pre‑inscription process for preschool, first‑grade primary and special education in public schools of Mexico City. Families can view assignments on the Federal Educational Authority portal. Requests to change schools may be submitted online from 16 to 18 June, subject to available slots. Extemporaneous enrollment periods are set for 8‑16 July (preschool/first grade) and 6‑12 August (first‑grade secondary). Results for multiple‑disability centers will be posted from 18 June, and secondary‑level assignments on 4 August.
