Bogotá and Soacha face water service suspensions

The Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Bogotá (EAAB) has announced scheduled water service suspensions in various sectors of Bogotá and Soacha from October 13 to October 15, 2026. These interruptions are necessary for preventive maintenance and repairs to the water distribution networks to ensure long-term service continuity.

In Soacha, several neighborhoods including Andalucía, Balcón Real, and various sectors of Juan Pablo II will face suspensions of up to 24 hours starting October 13. Other areas, such as León XIII and several neighborhoods in the Ubaté region, are scheduled for service interruptions on October 14 and 15 respectively.

Within Bogotá, maintenance work is scheduled for October 13 in the Engativá and Ciudad Bolívar localities. Affected areas in Engativá include San Marcos and Villa Luz, with some sectors facing 4-hour interruptions and others up to 24 hours due to network blockages. In Ciudad Bolívar, sectors such as Sumapaz and Lucero Alto will experience 24-hour suspensions for the installation of accessories.
