Bogotá Botanic Garden Unveils June 2026 Educational and Cultural Program

The Subdirectorate Educational and Cultural of the Jardín Botánico de Bogotá José Celestino Mutis has designed a robust schedule for June 2026, offering scientific, artistic and recreational activities that aim to connect citizens with the capital’s Andean flora and promote non‑formal education.

The agenda includes heritage walks, macro‑photography workshops on fungi, carbon‑footprint measurements, botanical drawing sessions, the 49th edition of the Agroecological Farmers’ Market, theatrical adaptations, traditional carranguera music, guided tours of the Tropicario greenhouse complex, climate‑change field trips to Cerro San Francisco Vicachá, the Brazo Salitre urban forest and the Thomas van der Hammen reserve, plus yoga, watercolor workshops and indigenous storytelling circles. The program aligns with Bogotá’s water‑conservation and waste‑management policies and seeks to raise awareness of climate impacts on high‑mountain ecosystems.
