Bogotá child abandoned in Kennedy locality

A one-year-old child was found abandoned in the early hours of the morning in the Catalina neighborhood of the Kennedy locality in Bogotá. The infant was discovered sleeping outdoors in front of a residence, accompanied only by a suitcase containing toys and care items.

Security camera footage from the area reportedly shows a woman leaving the child at the location. The National Police responded after a local resident reported hearing knocking at their door. Authorities have initiated an investigation using the video evidence to determine the circumstances of the abandonment.

The child has been placed under the protection of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF), which is managing the administrative process to restore the minor's rights and ensure their well-being.
