Bogotá's Lechona Festival 2026 to Boost Tourism

Bogotá’s municipal government confirmed that the Festival de la Lechona will take place from 27 to 29 June 2026. Branded “El Mundial del Sabor,” the three‑day event will feature more than 80 specialised food establishments offering popular‑price dishes and a wide variety of culinary proposals for residents and tourists.

Organisers expect thousands of visitors, especially in the city’s “Zona L,” a hub of traditional gastronomy. The festival coincides with activities linked to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, raising expectations for the local tourism and commercial sectors. Authorities say the event will generate temporary jobs, support small‑ and medium‑size businesses, and help position Bogotá as a leading gastronomic destination in Colombia.
