Bogotá hosts clown theater performances via Idartes
The Bogotá District Institute of the Arts (Idartes) is bringing clown performances to various localities in Bogotá through a collaboration between the 'Culturas en Común' program and the 'Festival Mamarracho Fiesta Casera Payasa Vol. 9'.
The programming includes 'ImproClown' by the group Pim Pam Pum, which combines theatrical improvisation, stand-up, and physical theater. Performances were held in the Rafael Uribe Uribe and Ciudad Bolívar localities in late September.
In October, the series continues with 'Frágil' by the Spanish clown company María Andrés. This production explores themes of humor, dreams, and resilience through movement and physical expression.
