Bogotá housing fair provides homes for over 33,000 families

The Gran Feria de Vivienda “Mi Casa en Bogotá 2026” concluded with the mayor of Bogotá, Carlos Fernando Galán, announcing that 33,333 families obtained social or priority interest housing through subsidies, financing options and municipal assistance. The fair, held at the Movistar Arena, brought together 28 construction firms, 12 financial institutions, five family compensation funds and various city agencies to streamline the purchase process from property search to subsidy and mortgage approval.

Organizers said an additional 5,000 transactions are expected in the coming days, potentially raising the total number of households benefiting this administration to around 38,000. More than 45,600 households were eligible to attend, and over 5,000 subsidies from the “Oferta Preferente” and “Reactiva tu Compra” programs were available for social‑interest (VIS) and priority‑interest (VIP) projects. The event also offered financial‑education workshops to help families qualify for credit.

A highlighted beneficiary, Rosalba Moreno, expressed gratitude for finally achieving home ownership after years of effort, underscoring the personal impact of the program.
