Bogotá ICA tax deadline passes for third bimester of 2026

The deadline for declaring and paying the Industry and Commerce Tax (ICA) for the third bimester of 2026 in Bogotá was August 21. This period covers commercial operations conducted during May and June.

Pablo Verástegui, Director of Taxes for the Secretaría Distrital de Hacienda (SDH), warned that taxpayers who failed to meet the deadline face automatic economic sanctions and the accumulation of moratory interest. The SDH has provided both in-person and virtual channels to facilitate these obligations.

As of August 11, Bogotá has collected 4.7 trillion pesos in ICA, representing 58.6% of the projected 8 trillion peso annual goal for 2026. Taxpayers also have the option to make a voluntary contribution of 3%, 5%, or 10% to fund higher education opportunities for local youth.
