Durangaldea to host Basque Government pilot for housing and labor inclusion

The Basque Government has launched ETXEIN, an innovative pilot project in the Durangaldea and Arratia regions designed to link housing stability with labor inclusion for highly vulnerable individuals.

Scheduled to run from September 2026 to December 2027, the initiative targets women survivors of gender-based violence at risk of exclusion and families facing judicial evictions who access the public rental park through direct adjudication. The program aims to provide comprehensive support through an intervention team led by Lanbide professionals in Durango, working in coordination with Alokabide and the Agintzari cooperative.

With a budget of 88,725 euros, the project will offer 15 to 20 intensive itineraries. These include personalized labor orientation and training, residential support and tenant rights monitoring, debt prevention, and connection to local community resources.
