Bogotá launches bidding for 142 community kitchens

The Bogotá District Secretariat of Social Integration (SDIS) has launched a competitive bidding process to select non-profit entities and social organizations to operate 142 community kitchens across 18 localities in the capital.

The initiative, part of the ‘Bogotá Sin Hambre 2.0’ program, involves a total investment of $113,401,449,054. The goal is to provide 41,000 daily meals to vulnerable populations, including children, youth, seniors, and people with disabilities, to mitigate malnutrition risks.

Interested organizations must submit proposals via the SECOP II platform by September 15, 2026. Successful bidders, expected to be selected by mid-October, will be responsible for maintaining high nutritional standards and ensuring caloric adequacy for the beneficiaries.
