Bogotá launches free map for World Cup 2026 match viewing and forecasts retail surge

Bogotá’s city government released a free, interactive map that lists more than 320 bars, restaurants, hotels, malls and other venues showing the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches. The tool, built with ArcGIS technology by Catastro Bogotá and partner agencies, lets users see venue details, directions and travel time, helping fans plan where to watch games without last‑minute searches.

The commercial centre Nuestro Bogotá expects an 8 % rise in visitor traffic during June‑July, aiming for over one million shoppers per month. Officials project a sales impact of about 377 billion Colombian pesos, driven by food, beverage, fashion and entertainment spending. The mall will broadcast 35 matches on a giant screen, extend opening hours and coordinate promotions with around 20 gastro‑bars to capture the increased demand.
