Bogotá launches over 1,000 inclusive job vacancies

The Bogotá city government announced a hiring drive offering more than 1,000 (up to about 1,500) new positions across a range of sectors, including commerce, health, logistics, technology and administration. The programme is aimed at a broad set of applicants: young people aged 18‑28, women, workers without prior experience (around 762 spots) and citizens over 50 who often face age‑related barriers. Salaries are set between one and two minimum wages for most roles, with specialised or technical jobs reaching up to four or nine minimum wages. Applicants can register and apply through the public employment service, which also provides résumé support and interview preparation. The initiative is part of Bogotá’s strategy to increase formal employment, reduce unemployment gaps and promote labour‑market inclusion.
