Bogotá launches Reverso Poetry Festival 2026 and hosts free Concert of Hope VII

On July 30, 2026, the BibloRed public library network of Bogotá officially launched the Reverso Bogotá 2026 cultural invitation at Parque de los Hippies. The free event, hosted by poet‑photographer Lina Botero, featured a “Poetic Oracle” reading, an open‑mic session, and a slam‑poetry showcase. Festival president and juror Federico Díaz‑Granados presented the competition categories and monetary prizes, emphasizing the city’s tradition of oral and written poetry.

The following day, August 1, the Plaza de Bolívar will host the free Concert of Hope VII. The lineup includes international acts such as Orishas and Sabo Romo, as well as Colombian groups like Realidad Mental and Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto. Organizers have set entry rules – no minors under 14, no alcohol, weapons, or drones – and advise attendees to arrive early and follow safety instructions.
