Bogotá Metro Line 1 tests pet-friendly service amid job scam warnings

The Bogotá Metro Line 1 is undergoing technical testing, which included a milestone event where Hashi, a German Shepherd from the Bogotá Police, became the first dog to ride the system. Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán confirmed that the new transit system will be pet-friendly, allowing animals to travel with their owners once operations officially begin, subject to specific regulations.

In light of the project's progress, authorities are warning job seekers about fraudulent employment offers. Scammers are using the name of the Metro de Bogotá to solicit personal information or payments for supposed training courses and travel expenses. Officials emphasize that Metro Línea 1 does not conduct hiring processes or send contracts via social media, and legitimate selection processes will never require payment from candidates.
