Bogotá nurse marries articulated bus due to mechanophilia

Yeline Lizbeth Patiño, a 35-year-old nurse and singer from Bogotá, Colombia, has gained international attention for her romantic connection to public transit vehicles. Patiño, who identifies as having mechanophilia—a paraphilia involving emotional or sexual attraction to machines—has reportedly married a red articulated bus from the TransMilenio F60 line.

To remain close to the vehicles, Patiño left her nursing career to work as a cleaner. She has documented her passion through social media, including a 2024 wedding ceremony where she wore a white dress and carried a bouquet. She also has a tattoo of the F60 bus to signify her commitment.

Patiño noted that her attraction to large vehicles began years ago with a Trans Sandoná bus. She described her feelings for the specific TransMilenio entity as deep and genuine, stating that she views the bus as having a distinct identity.
