Bogotá police arrest three for dismantling stolen vehicle

Three individuals were arrested in the Barrios Unidos locality of Bogotá after being caught dismantling a vehicle that had been reported stolen in the Suba district just one day prior. The operation took place in a parking lot in the 7 de Agosto neighborhood following a citizen alert regarding suspicious activity.

Upon arrival, police found the vehicle missing its license plates and rear lights, with several internal components already removed. Technical inspections revealed that the chassis number had been altered. Although the suspects claimed the vehicle was there for bodywork and painting, they were unable to provide proof of its origin. The detainees have been handed over to the Attorney General's Office on suspicion of receiving stolen goods.
