A Sijín police officer, Edilberto Pinilla Cárdenas, was killed during a police operation in the Ciudad Bolívar district of Bogotá. The 39-year-old lieutenant was shot while authorities were attempting to locate suspects involved in a triple homicide.

Following a confrontation, police arrested three individuals and seized three firearms. Authorities believe the initial triple homicide was linked to disputes over drug trafficking control. The suspects remain in custody pending investigations into their involvement in both the shootings and the original murders.
