Bogotá reports residential thefts and festival road closures
Residents in the Alcalá sector of Bogotá are on alert following reports of rapid residential thefts. Suspects are allegedly using master keys to enter homes within seconds, operating from two vehicles to steal valuables. Authorities have not yet confirmed the total number of affected properties or any arrests, but residents are being urged to report suspicious activity and reinforce home security.
Separately, the Bogotá Mayor's Office has confirmed road closures on Calle 63 for the 28th edition of the Hip Hop al Parque festival. The closures, scheduled for October 24 and 25, affect the north and south lanes between Carrera 60 and Carrera 68, as well as the bicycle path. Restrictions are in place from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Simón Bolívar Park, and officials recommend using public transportation.
