Bogotá schedules water supply cuts for June 3 in multiple neighborhoods

The District Administration of Bogotá announced that the city's water utility, Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Bogotá (EAAB), will carry out scheduled water supply interruptions on Wednesday, 3 June. The cuts are part of preventive maintenance, pipe‑piece replacements and equipment installations aimed at “minimising larger damage to pipelines and supply accessories.”

Affected areas include several neighborhoods in the Fontibón district – Ciudad Hayuelos, Interindustrial, El Vergel, and sections between Carrera 80 and 86 – with an 8 a.m. cut lasting 24 hours for a hydrant relocation. In the Bosa district, neighborhoods such as Bosa Nova, El Porvenir, Chicó Sur, La Alegría and La Concepción will see a 10 a.m. suspension, also for 24 hours, due to preventive work.
