Bogotá schedules water supply interruptions for May 25 maintenance

On Monday, 25 May 2026, the Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Bogotá (EAAB) will shut off water in several districts of Bogotá and nearby Soacha for preventive maintenance and repairs. The affected neighborhoods include Ciudad Bolívar (Arabia, Bella Flor Sur, Bellavista Lucero Alto, Cedritos del Sur, El Mochuelo and its extensions, El Tesoro, Estrella del Sur, Juan Pablo II, Naciones Unidas, Quiba, San Rafael, Sumapaz, Villa Gloria, among others), as well as parts of the city from Calle 67 Sur to Calle 80A Sur and from Calle 65 Sur to Calle 78D Bis Sur, each for about six hours starting at 1 p.m.

Residents are advised to fill reserve tanks, use stored water within 24 hours, and prioritize essential uses such as hand‑washing and food preparation. EAAB will provide tanker trucks, giving priority to clinics, hospitals and high‑traffic public centers, which can be requested through the Acualínea 116 service.
