Bogotá to face water cuts and Santa Marta to experience power outages in early June
The Bogotá water utility announced sector‑specific water service interruptions from June 9 to June 12, affecting neighborhoods such as Chapinero, Suba, Engativá, Kennedy and others. Interruptions are expected to last between three and 27 hours, and residents have been advised to fill reserve tanks and use water sparingly.
In Santa Marta, the electricity provider Air‑e will conduct technical maintenance on June 10, resulting in planned power outages on circuits Bonda 2, Tamacá and Tamacá Sur. The work will affect multiple districts, including Pozos Colorados, Trinidad, Los Cardonales, Irotama, La Paz, and several rural sectors, with outages lasting several hours during the morning and early afternoon.
