Bogotá water supply to be interrupted in multiple districts on May 20, 2026

The Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Bogotá (EAAB) announced scheduled water service interruptions for Wednesday, 20 May 2026. Cuts will affect dozens of neighborhoods across the localities of Antonio Nariño, Bosa, Suba, Tunjuelito and Usaquén, among others. The interruptions, lasting from a few hours up to 24 hours, are intended for corrective maintenance, installation of hydrants and valves, network tie‑ins and macro‑meter verification.

Residents are advised to fill reserve tanks before the cuts, use stored water within 24 hours, and practice rational consumption. EAAB will dispatch water tankers, giving priority to hospitals, clinics and high‑traffic public centres. The city’s mayor’s office and EAAB posted the detailed schedule on their websites to allow households to plan accordingly.
