Bogotá's Concierto de la Esperanza attracts 30,000 fans

The seventh edition of the Concierto de la Esperanza took place on the Plaza de Bolívar in Bogotá, offering free entry to the public. Around 30,000 attendees gathered from 11 a.m. for a ten‑hour program that showcased a mix of Colombian and international performers.

Artists included Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto, who opened with traditional folk music, singer Adriana Lucía, hip‑hop group Realidad Mental, rap artist Penyair, and the Pacific‑inspired ensemble Herencia de Timbiquí, among others. The event highlighted the role of music in promoting culture, peace and civic engagement.

Organizers and authorities emphasized the concert’s aim of making high‑quality cultural experiences accessible to all, while President Gustavo Petro was thanked for supporting public media and cultural initiatives.
