Bohdan Popov discusses Empoli's outlook ahead of Ascoli match

Empoli striker Bohdan Popov has discussed his team’s recent performance and their upcoming match against Ascoli. Reflecting on a recent loss to Palermo, Popov noted that while Palermo is a strong side, Empoli could have improved their performance in both possession and non-possession phases, as well as their competitive intensity.

Popov highlighted his personal confidence during the match, specifically mentioning his decision to take responsibility for a crucial penalty kick which he successfully converted. Despite a near miss with a shot hitting the crossbar, he views the experience as an opportunity for the team to grow.

Looking ahead to the away game against Ascoli, Popov emphasized the need for the squad to analyze previous errors and maintain a strong defensive and offensive attitude. He also expressed support for the tactical approach of playing with two strikers, noting that having a partner upfront helps him with ball play and aerial duels.
