Bohemians Praha 1905 fined 450,000 CZK for fan violence in Sparta derby

The disciplinary commission of the Czech Football Association imposed a 450,000 CZK fine on Bohemians Praha 1905 after fan disturbances during their 2‑0 league win over Sparta Prague. The sanction covers the use of illegal pyrotechnics, crowd disorder that halted the match, and the unauthorized entry of individuals onto the pitch. A fragment from a fireworks device struck Bohemians’ own goalkeeper Tomáš Frühwalda, prompting safety warnings from commission chair Jiří Matzner, who said the behaviour “could directly endanger the health of fans, players and officials.” The penalty is the third‑largest ever recorded for supporter misconduct in the Czech league.

In a separate matter, the commission also opened disciplinary proceedings against Slavia’s David Moses for an elbow to the head of Liberce’s Petr Hodouš, which caused a broken jaw. While Moses was not sent off during the match, officials are expected to rule on a sanction next week. The club remains eligible to field him in upcoming fixtures.
