Bohol-Panglao Airport Expands Access to Alona Beach, Top Philippine Beach

Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA) serves as the main gateway to Alona Beach on Panglao Island, a destination recently ranked No. 8 among the Philippines' top ten beaches. The airport’s proximity places most beachfront accommodations just 10–15 minutes from the runway, cutting travel time and encouraging both domestic and international visitors.

BPIA, operated by Aboitiz InfraCapital Bohol Airport Corporation, is promoted as the Philippines' first eco‑airport. It offers frequent domestic flights from Manila, Clark, Davao and Iloilo, and direct international services from Incheon and Busan in South Korea, enhancing the island’s accessibility for regional and overseas tourists. The improved connectivity supports a broader tourism experience that includes diving, island‑hopping, the Chocolate Hills, the Loboc River and the Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary.
