Bohumín to invest 3 million CZK in volunteer firefighter equipment

The town of Bohumín is investing three million CZK to equip its volunteer firefighter units with new gear. The procurement includes boats, a thermal imaging camera, a trailer, and specialized intervention clothing.

The equipment will be distributed among several units, including Vrbice, Šunychl, Záblatí, Starý Bohumín, and Skřečany. This initiative is supported by a cross-border partnership with the Polish municipality of Krzyżanowice.

Funding for the project is largely covered by the European Regional Development Fund, which will provide 80 percent of the costs, while the remaining portion is supplemented by the state budget. The new equipment is expected to arrive by the end of October.
