Bohumín Hospital begins assembly of new modular administrative building

A new administrative building is being constructed at the Bohumín Hospital in the Czech Republic using a modular approach to save time. The structure consists of 28 steel modules that were pre-fabricated in Havlíčkův Brod and transported approximately 250 kilometers to the site.

The modules arrive pre-equipped with floors, walls, windows, and sanitary facilities. Once the modules are assembled by crane, workers will complete the connections between units, install the facade and roof, and link the building to utility networks. The project is expected to be completed by late September, with final certification planned for the end of the year.

The new facility will house 17 offices and two meeting rooms, allowing hospital staff to move out of Pavilion D. This relocation will free up existing space within the hospital to be repurposed for specialist outpatient clinics, which will be located near the main entrance for improved patient accessibility. The total cost of the project is estimated at approximately 40 million CZK.
