Boiler maintenance can provide 30 percent energy savings

Experts are advising consumers to perform periodic maintenance on natural gas boilers and heating systems before the winter season to ensure high performance and prevent high energy bills. Regular maintenance can lead to savings of up to 30 percent on natural gas costs.

Technical maintenance procedures include checking water and heating combustion, verifying water tightness, cleaning dust, cleaning the combustion chamber burner, and inspecting electrical and electronic connections. Other essential steps involve lubricating the flue fan, adjusting the expansion tank pressure, and cleaning the dirt trap filter in the heating return line. For condensing boilers, cleaning the condensation water reservoir is also required.

In addition to boiler maintenance, cleaning radiators is considered critical for efficiency. Experts note that rust particles can accumulate and clog filters, reducing device performance. While cleaning may only be necessary every two years in areas with clean water, such as Erzincan, annual cleaning is recommended to prevent long-term damage and maintain efficiency.
