Bois-Colombes inaugurates sports complex named after Charles Coste

The city of Bois-Colombes has inaugurated a new sports complex named in honor of Charles Coste, a centenarian Olympic champion. The facility was officially opened on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Coste is a prominent figure in French sports, having won a gold medal in the team pursuit at the 1948 London Olympics. He also famously won the Grand Prix des Nations in 1949. He gained renewed national recognition during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he served as one of the final torchbearers.
