Boise State enters AP Top 25 and leads Group of 6 playoff race

Boise State has emerged as the leading Group of 6 candidate for the College Football Playoff following a victory over Western Michigan. The Broncos are currently ranked No. 22 in the AP Top 25, making them the first G6 team to earn such a ranking this season.

During a recent appearance on ESPN College GameDay, celebrity Johnny Knoxville drew attention by stating he could not take any team with a blue field seriously, opting instead to pick Western Michigan. Despite the comment, Boise State secured a decisive win. Other notable figures, including Pat McAfee and Nick Saban, have expressed support for the Broncos' playoff potential.
