Bojan Stojanoski says Macedonian inflation fell to 2.3% as exports rise

VMRO‑DPMNE deputy Bojan Stojanoski posted recent economic data to counter the SDSM opposition’s criticism. He highlighted that the annual inflation rate in July fell to 2.3%, down from 5.7% in April – a drop of 3.4 percentage points, roughly a 60% reduction. Food and non‑alcoholic beverage prices were 1.1% lower than in June.

Stojanoski also cited growth in other indicators: exports increased by about 8% in the first half of the year, industrial production rose 6.5% in June, the processing industry grew 7.9%, and gross domestic product rose 3.1% in the first quarter. Employment rose while the unemployment rate fell from 11.7% to 11.3%. He argued that these figures demonstrate a positive economic trend and refute the opposition’s claims.

The spokesperson urged a factual response to what he described as a “false campaign” by SDSM’s so‑called economic experts.
