Bojana Savović sparks controversy at legal seminar in Zlatibor

Public prosecutor Bojana Savović has sparked controversy during the Seventh Legal Consultation organized by the Belgrade Bar Association in Zlatibor. Participants at the event, which runs from October 9 to 11, reported that Savović used her panel discussion on police torture and abuse of authority to threaten the arrest of judges and prosecutors following a potential change in government.

Attendees described her presentation as being more akin to a political platform for the Proglas movement and the Student List rather than a professional legal discussion. Critics at the seminar alleged that she provided inaccurate data and attempted to challenge the right of certain participants to attend.

This follows previous statements made by Savović on the television program ‘Utisak nedelje’, where she advocated for the permanent removal and public stigmatization of specific individuals within the judiciary, police, and prosecution services to prevent them from returning to work or claiming damages after political shifts.
