Boku no Chikyu wo Mamotte to receive live-action drama adaptation

A live-action drama adaptation of the iconic science fiction shojo manga ‘Boku no Chikyu wo Mamotte’ (Please Save My Earth) has been announced. Alice Hirose is set to star in the lead role, playing the character Karen.

Originally serialized in ‘Hana to Yume’ starting in 1986, the series is considered a masterpiece of the genre. The epic narrative spans 40 years of storytelling, weaving together themes of reincarnation, extraterrestrial life, lunar bases, and interplanetary war with delicate human emotions and romance.

The story follows seven individuals who possess memories of their past lives as aliens. The saga has continued through sequels such as ‘Boku wo Tsutsumu Tsuki no Hikari’ and the ongoing ‘Boku wa Chikyu to Utau’, totaling over 40 volumes of manga content.
