Bola Tinubu allegedly receiving medical treatment in France, claims Sowore

Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, has alleged that Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently in France receiving medical treatment. Sowore claims the President’s absence from the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is due to health concerns and a fear of potential legal issues in the United States regarding past drug-related forfeiture proceedings.

Sowore accused the Nigerian government of concealing the President’s true condition, suggesting that his trip is being presented as a vacation rather than medical care.

In contrast, the Presidency has announced that Vice President Kashim Shettima will lead the Nigerian delegation to the UNGA in New York. Shettima is expected to deliver the national statement and participate in high-level meetings concerning economic growth, climate action, and international cooperation.
