Bola Tinubu celebrates Dele Alake’s 70th birthday

President Bola Tinubu has issued a tribute to the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, in celebration of his 70th birthday. Tinubu described Alake as a dependable, principled, and forthright ally with whom he has shared a close relationship for several decades.

The President highlighted Alake’s diverse professional background, noting his career as a frontline journalist and editor who opposed military dictatorship and advocated for human rights during Nigeria’s period of military rule. Tinubu also commended Alake’s previous eight-year tenure as the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy.

Furthermore, the President praised Alake’s current stewardship of the solid minerals sector, stating that his ability to deliver results in new and uncharted territories has earned both local and global admiration.
