Bola Tinubu returns to Nigeria from European working vacation
President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria, landing at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Tuesday evening following a month-long working vacation in Europe. The trip included stays in London and Paris, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron and business leader Vincent Bolloré.
Upon his arrival, Tinubu addressed journalists to dismiss ongoing speculation regarding his health, describing himself as healthy, sound, and ready to resume his official duties. He characterized the health rumors as politically motivated.
The President chose to fly to Lagos as his first destination to honor the memory of Chief MKO Abiola. He is expected to attend several events in Lagos marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, including a movie premiere at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre. Additionally, Tinubu will hold strategic meetings with political leaders in preparation for the 2027 elections.
