Bold Fashion Week to launch in Kampala through new partnership

Johnnie Walker has announced a partnership with Bold in Africa and Malembe Lifestyle to launch the inaugural Bold Fashion Week. Scheduled for August 21–22, 2026, at Motiv in Bugolobi, the event aims to celebrate contemporary African fashion, creativity, and the individuals shaping the continent’s fashion landscape.

The initiative serves as an extension of Johnnie Walker’s Afro Exchange platform, which seeks to facilitate cultural exchange between African disciplines including music, fashion, and art. The event is designed to create an ecosystem where designers can connect with new markets, buyers, and fellow creatives.

The inaugural showcase will feature ten African designers on a professional runway, including a mix of established Ugandan labels, emerging talent, and international designers from across the continent.
