Bolivia and Cuba pursue economic reforms and regional development

In Bolivia, President Rodrigo Paz announced a series of meetings with mayors and governors to discuss economic decentralization and regional production. Paz stated that $10 billion in managed funds should be directed toward reactivating the economy and generating regional production rather than being used for unproductive spending or central government expenses. He emphasized that the goal is to empower regions to attract investment, thereby increasing their own tax revenue and competitiveness.

In Cuba, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero reported that the country is currently implementing 158 of the 176 approved economic and social transformations. These measures aim to unleash productive forces and increase the supply of goods and services. Marrero noted that the current reforms are supported by 197 legal norms and are designed to foster integration, autonomy, and diversity within the island's business system to improve the population's quality of life.
