Bolivia: President Paz inaugurates Junín-9D gas well drilling

President Rodrigo Paz has inaugurated the drilling of the Junín-9D well in the Sara province of the Santa Cruz department. The project is being executed by YPFB Chaco.

The new well is expected to reach an initial production of 8 million cubic feet per day, which would represent an approximately 10% increase over YPFB Chaco’s current production levels. Additionally, the project estimates the recovery of around 10 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves.

The operation involves an investment of approximately $6.4 million and has obtained the necessary environmental and hazardous substance activity licenses. During the event, Paz emphasized the necessity of continuous investment in the gas industry to ensure energy sovereignty.
