Catamarca and Salta receive $7,000 million in National Treasury Contributions

The Argentine National Executive has resumed the distribution of National Treasury Contributions (ATN), transferring $7,000 million each to the provinces of Catamarca and Salta on September 11. This follows a period in August where no such disbursements were authorized.

In September alone, the government has granted a total of $26,000 million in ATN funds. Other recent recipients include Misiones ($5,000 million), as well as Jujuy and La Pampa ($3,500 million each). These non-reimbursable funds are designated for provincial financial emergencies.

These transfers occur amid intense political negotiations in the National Congress regarding key legislation. In Catamarca, Governor Raúl Jalil announced that he will not seek reelection and will not split the provincial elections. Meanwhile, reports indicate that several provinces, including La Rioja and Buenos Aires, have not received ATN funds so far in 2026.
