Bolivia launches agenda for International Year of Volunteering 2026

Bolivia has launched its national agenda for the International Year of Volunteering for Sustainable Development 2026. The initiative began on August 12, 2026, with the signing of a Declaration of Intent to establish a National Committee.

Led by First Lady Bibi Urquidi, the committee aims to strengthen the country's volunteering ecosystem, promote citizen participation, and foster multi-sectoral alliances. The program includes the presentation of a National Action Plan and a dedicated microsite to register initiatives and share experiences among volunteers nationwide.

Collaborating organizations include the UNDP, the Bolivian Red Cross, and various academic and social institutions.
