Bolivia has taken a 2-0 lead over Hong Kong in the Davis Cup World Group II opening round held in Santa Cruz. The victory follows successful singles performances by both Hugo Dellien and Juan Carlos Prado.
Hugo Dellien opened the series with a victory over Fu Wang Choi, winning 6-4 and 6-1. Juan Carlos Prado followed with a dominant 6-2, 6-1 win against Tsz Fu Wong in his debut match.
Bolivia is now one victory away from winning the series and advancing to the World Group I Play-Offs. If the Bolivian team wins the scheduled doubles match on Saturday, the series will be decided immediately. Hong Kong must win all remaining matches on Saturday to stay in contention.
