Bolivia prepares for traditional All Saints' Day festivities

Preparations are underway across Bolivia for the traditional All Saints' Day festivities. In Cochabamba, municipal authorities are working to relocate the Todos Santos fair to the San Sebastián and Coronilla plazas to modernize the event and reduce traffic congestion caused by previous locations. While meetings with merchants have faced some delays, officials aim to reach a consensus to ensure the fair does not obstruct local transit.

Nationwide, cemeteries are being prepared through cleaning, tree pruning, and tomb maintenance in anticipation of families visiting gravesites. The tradition involves setting up elaborate altars with offerings such as typical breads, sweets, juices, and empanadas to welcome the souls of the deceased. To ensure public safety during the holiday, authorities have announced the deployment of police officers and municipal officials to monitor cemeteries and public gathering sites.
