Bolivia: President reports death threats amid security restructuring

Bolivian President Paz has reported receiving frequent death threats, a claim that has drawn mixed reactions from members of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly. While some lawmakers expressed concern over the seriousness of the revelations, others questioned the credibility of the claims.

In a separate move to address security concerns, the government has undergone a restructuring of its security management. Minister Oviedo oversaw the inauguration of three new authorities: Peter Maldonado, Dorian Badani, and Antonio Montero. This restructuring follows the resignation of Hernán Paredes from the Vice Ministry of the Interior, who was replaced by Maldonado.
